First things first, try plunging the toilet or sink closest to the main sewer line. Plungers work by creating suction that pulls the clog through the pipe and down the drain. To use a plunger on your sink drain, simply fill the basin with enough water to cover the plunger cup, place the plunger over the drain opening, and push and pull the plunger up and down. You may need to repeat this process several times before you dislodge the clog. If this doesn’t work, move on to step two.
