Stars & Stripes Fest 

Once again Downtown Covington will celebrate Independence Day with their magnificent Stars & Stripes Festival, located in Downtown Covington Square! We’re proud to sponsor this fun family event that celebrates the birth of our nation, each year! This year’s event will feature: 

Live Entertainment: You’ll want to pull out your dancing shoes to get ready for the Fourth of July!  Funk Factory 5 will be headlining this year’s Stars & Stripes Fest. This all-star band will be performing a variety of music from R&B to Motown to Pop and everything in between! Funk Factory 5 will keep you dancing from the moment they get on stage until the fireworks display that night! 

Live performances at the Stars & Stripes Fest will also include The Maloy Brothers Bluegrass Band, the Newton County Community Band & Mass Community Choir, and Latin jazz band Canelita Sabrosa Atlanta.

Kids Activities: Enjoy activities for kids of all ages such as large inflatables, a spider jump, a video game truck and so much more. Some activities will be available for a fee; however, admission to the event is completely free. 

Food: Food vendors will also be available and will be selling a variety of options such as pizza, hotdogs, and hamburgers, barbeque sandwiches along with ice cream, shaved ice, and Italian Ice to wash it down. Also if you’re craving some of our favorite Downtown Covington restaurants, they will be open and ready to serve you! You might even get a little shopping done as well as some of the retail stores who offer special Fourth of July promotions!
